Folksy Friday - New Homes For Sale

I revealed in my blog post last week that I have a burning desire to become an Estate Agent... I also mentioned this on Twitter, and promptly lost 9 followers! But hey, I am undeterred!

This ambition of mine stems from an absolute love of property - big, small, whatever! To me a house is more than just bricks and mortar, more than just a home. A house is the heart of every family - their sanctuary, their shelter, the place they come back to, the place they laugh in, cry in, play in, grow in, and a house should be a reflection of it's occupant's life, love and soul.

So with all this in mind, I decided to get in a little practise for my new career, and this week I bring you twelve delectable new homes I have found on folksy... (and no mortgages required!)

As usual, click on the label below each picture to find out more...

Folksy Friday - Daffodil Yellow...

I found myself amazed this week that my daffodils were out already... but then it's nearly the middle of March already, so perhaps that's normal... But I thought, brave little blighters, showing their sunny little faces when all the rest of the world is still so dark and dreary.

There is something about that intense daffodil yellow that is so uplifting and cheering, that I just had to search on Folksy for some more gorgeous yellowness...

Folksy Friday - Taking the Biscuit...

This week, my Folksy Friday selection is a simply a homage to the humble biscuit...
Afterall, how often does this simple confection receive the glory it deserves for all the enjoyment, comfort, nourishment and dunking good fun it brings us?

Only these are biscuits with a difference!

Sorry, but not a single one is edible! Instead, they are adorable, quirky, fun, clever, handmade and totally and utterly absolutely calorie free!  (Almost better than the real things!)

Pour yourself a cuppa, and sit down with this lovely guilt-free plate of biscuits...

Folksy Friday - Amigurumi Zoo

Although I find the name a bit of a tongue twister, I really do lovely the current craze for amigurumi!

For those of you who don't already know, amigurumi is the japanese art of creating small crocheted or knitted stuffed animals.  It has taken off a storm in the crafting world - and I have untold admiration for all the artists who carry the art off successfully.  I am a knitter, but I'm afraid the art of crochet is totally beyond me!  I tried it once and just ended up tying my fingers together, and despite later practise I have retired my crochet hook and  decided to leave it to the experts. I do however, plan to have a go at the knitting version - at the moment I am just master of the jumper! But I will let you know how I get along...

In the meantime, here are some very gorgeous, very cute, very clever little characters, who are all looking for a new home...

Folksy Friday - Going Quackers...!

Is it really Friday already? Gosh, doesn't that roll round quickly... ! Still, I love Fridays, not just because it is nearly the weekend, but because I can bring you another Fifteen Fabulous Folksy Friday finds, of course!!!

Yes, it's official, this week I truly have gone completely QUACKERS! It's all about ducks...

I haven't got anything particularly witty to say about ducks, and I can't really tell you what inspired me to this theme... I just thought, hmmm, ducks! (So perhaps I am just a little bit certifiable?)

Anyway, here they are in all their glorious gorgeousness, just click on the name below each picture to find out more about each piece...
